Feel the Carnival Come Alive at the Basin!

Reyburn House has opened its grounds for the first ever Town Basin Carnival, come and celebrate
Waitangi weekend at this fun filled family event.

Celebrate Waitangi in Whangarei at the Town Basin Carnival. A spectacular day of exciting stalls,
friendly welcomes, and interesting things to see and experience. Candy floss, face painting, hangi,
stilt walkers, arts & crafts, pottery, food, jewellery, water play, dancing, Kaumatua conversations
and much much more. A chance to learn about history and to celebrate our future. Everyone will
be made to feel welcome at this community-based carnival event.

The Northland Society of Arts, a non-profit organisation who run Reyburn House, are hosting our
first ever “Town Basin Carnival” on Sunday 4 th February. It is an opportunity for community to
come together and celebrate Waitangi Day in Whangarei. It also coincides with our first ever
cruise ship passengers coming into town, what a great showcase for our Northland business!

Event is located on the Reyburn House Gardens and is also supported by the WDC and Creative
Northland.
